Best Bagels

There’s nothing in the world quite like an authentic, done right, New York bagel.

Almost as touchy a subject as who makes the best pizza in town, deciding on the best bagels in the borough is a real toughie. Everybody loves a good bagel for different reasons.

So we might have to try them all again – and any more bagel spots you suggest.

(It’s hard work, but somebody’s gotta do it)

The Bagel Hole – Park Slope

This place isn’t delivering on fancy cushioned booths or beautiful lighting – and it shouldn’t: this place is about bagels. A no frills local bagel joint, The Bagel Hole crafts the perfect New York bagel: crispy on the outside and doughy in the middle. Cash only and toasting very un-approved.

Terrace Bagels – Windsor Terrace

With a variety of house made flavored cream cheeses made on premise, Terrace Bagels offers piping hot, fresh bagels hand rolled and baked on site. And they’re perfect.

Bagelsmith – Williamsburg

Bagelsmith’s has a wide variety of spreads, a big specialty sandwich selection and delicious coffee. But their star is undoubtedly their bagel. With a variety of bagels to choose from made fresh on site, it’s impossible to get a bad one at Bagelsmith’s.
