Best Pizza Places

Best Pizza Places

Brooklyn is booming with some of the best pizza in the entire world. Seriously – Brooklynites know what we’re talking about.

Actually, even the world knows what we’re talking about. Go to any other state (even country!) and you’ll find yourself a bunch of pizzerias boasting their “New York Style Pizza.”

But there’s no style quite like the real thing.

Clearly not an all-encompassing list, here are five of our favorites:

Di Fara Pizza

Di Fara Pizza – Midwood

We figured we’d get this one out of the way first. You were expecting it, weren’t you? No self-respecting Brooklynite can look you in the eye and tell you that Di Fara isn’t mouth-wateringly fantastic. It is. It’s worth the investment (and the time), so don’t let the hype scare you off. It really is that good.

J&V Pizza

J & V Pizzeria – Bensonhurst

Old-school Brooklyn pizza. No frills, no fancy pretentious dishes, just pizza. And pizza done right.

Lucali’s – Carroll Gardens

Expect a wait – but anticipate pizza perfection. With a huge assortment of pies to try, you really can’t go wrong devouring a variety. Come with friends!

Ciccios Pizza

Ciccio’s – Gravesend

A slice of Ciccio’s pizza will make you feel like you’ve been missing out on a very important piece of pizza flavor: the nuttiness of sesame seeds. Sprinkled gingerly on their crust, Ciccio’s rocks the palate of anybody who indulges in their house pie.

L&B Spumoni Gardens

L&B Spumoni Gardens – Bensonhurst

You can get a better plain slice from any of the places above, but the real star of the Spumoni Show is its Sicilian slice. Or pie. Or multiple pies. Whatever you do, try this place now. Seriously. You can’t talk pizza until you’ve had a square slice from L&B.
